Momentum launches its election street campaign but banner removed by Cleansing department
Momentum has officially launched its election street campaign. However, shortly after putting up our banners, one on Santa Venera Bridge has already been removed by the Cleansing department.
This raises serious questions about the kind of democracy we are living in and highlightes the disadvantage small political parties face when contesting elections. While government propaganda dominates public spaces, smaller political parties are denied even the basic visibility of a simple banner. This is not a level playing field.
Momentum believes in fair participation and equal opportunity in politics. We will not be discouraged by these actions.
Even as one of the youngest political parties in Malta, Momentum is committed to continuing this challenge throughout the election. We will keep reaching out to people, amplifying voices that feel ignored, and standing up for a more just and democratic system.
There is hope, you can help!
