Robert Abela’s “patt imxajtan” with Donald Trump?

Yesterday Robert Abela admitted in parliament that he is toying with the idea of joining Donald Trump’s “Board of peace” for Gaza.

Is the Prime Minister serious? Is he willing to sit on this sham Board together with some of the worst autocrats in the world? With Ukraine aggressor Vladimir Putin? With Benjamin Netanyahu, wanted by the International Criminal Court?

Is this the same Robert Abela spouting his rhetoric on Helsien and neutrality on 31st March in Bormla? What a hypocrite.

Momentum Leader, Arnold Cassola, stated: “Has Robert Abela read the Board of Peace Charter? In the board of peace no-one has any power, except the chair, Donald Trump. Whoever joins ridicules their country.

Momentum reiterates that the UN has the legitimacy which no other organisation has. In the UN Malta has one equal vote in its general assembly. In the Board of Peace, Abela would be just a pawn in the hands of his puppet master, Donald Trump”.

Prof. Cassola concluded: “Has Robert Abela made a Faustian pact with Trump? Is this the price our country is being made to pay after Abela went begging the USA to get us off the FATF grey list”?
