Momentum, was launched today in Mrieħel. Committee member, Junior Architect Sumaya Ben Saad, stated: “We are a centrist party, focused on good governance, economic justice and an environment that is allowed to flourish in a natural way”.
Dr Matthew Agius Galea, a University of Malta academic., himself a Momentum Committee member, specified that Momentum was aiming at fostering in the populace the basic values of honesty, competence, courage, consistency, efficiency and the collaborative spirit.
General Secretary Mark Camilleri Gambin, a tech entrepreneur with software engineering background, listed the basic principles of Momentum, which include:
- Good governance
- Environmental sustainability
- Human wellbeing
- Social justice
- Cultural preservation
- Equal opportunities
- Quality education and youth investment
- Animal welfare
- A free vote on matters of conscience
The Executive Committee of Momentum is made up of:
