Joseph Portelli’s company is denying any responsibility for yesterday’s Paceville collapse, shifting all responsibility on Tania Flats.
In fact, Excel Trading claimed that demolition works adjacent to Tania Flats were completed on 7 May, well before the collapse occurred on Wednesday evening.
Portelli’s company is lying through its teeth. Momentum Chairperson, Arnold Cassola, stated: “The first video was taken on 27 May, with demolition going on. The balcony wall was still there on 27 May. No longer now.
The second video was taken on 2nd June, with works still clearly going on.
It is time for zero tolerance. Developers who play about with people’s lives and lie to cover up must be banned from continuing to risk our lives. Politicians who are in the pockets of these unscrupulous developers should be kicked out”.
