Momentum’s 7th Vision Circle at Salina Reserve sparks vibrant grassroots policy discussions

Momentum successfully hosted its 7th Vision Circle on Saturday, 25th October, set against the inspiring backdrop of the Salina Nature Reserve. The event was very well-attended, and brought together a diverse and vibrant community for a meaningful discussion focused on the rights, dignity and wellbeing of animals.

Vision Circles offer a dynamic platform for citizens to actively engage in drafting policies. This 7th event was a powerful testament to this grassroots initiative, operating as a collaborative think tank. It drew brilliant minds from all walks of life, including experts, vets, volunteers, activists, animal lovers and others, all bringing their unique experiences and perspectives to each table.

These collaborative sessions are designed to foster an environment of shared ideas and collective problem-solving. The discussions at Salina were robust and insightful, proving that when a community comes together, it can generate innovative solutions that reflect its collective wisdom.

“Vision Circles are no ordinary events, they are part of something much greater,” said Katya Compagno and Natasha Azzopardi, two of the key organisers from Momentum’s Executive Committee. “Through every circle we’ve organised, we’ve been building momentum, thought by thought, idea by idea. This isn’t just about talk; it’s about actively paving the way toward a better Malta. The voices and input from our community are vital to this process.”

The success of the Salina Vision Circle highlights a strong public desire for genuine participation in shaping the nation’s future. Momentum invites everyone who wants to contribute their voice and be part of this growing, solutions-oriented group to join our community.
