Press Release: Momentum endorses the NGO initiative: ‘Manoel Island: A Place for Us’
Momentum fully endorses the ‘Manoel Island: A Place for Us’ campaign, launched by a coalition of 29 civil society groups advocating for the transformation of Manoel Island into a national park.
Matthew Agius stated: “This initiative represents a crucial opportunity to reclaim public space for the benefit of the community, providing much-needed green and open areas in one of Malta’s most densely populated regions.
Members of Momentum will be attending the campaign launch to show their support for this important cause. We believe that the renegotiation of the concession agreement presents a unique moment to prioritise public interest over private development and to create a space that enhances the well-being of both present and future generations”.
Agius concluded: “We encourage all citizens to participate in this initiative and stand together in shaping a greener, more sustainable future for Malta”.
