Momentum delegation praises student commitment during University of Malta Freshers’ Week visit
A delegation from Momentum visited the University of Malta today to participate in the annual Freshers’ Week activities. The group was warmly welcomed and shown around the campus by KSU President Nick Muscat.
The delegation originally planned to tour the entirety of the expansive Freshers’ Week setup. However, the representatives ended up spending several hours in the very first area which hosted the student organisations, dedicating their time to speaking at length with the numerous students present.
Momentum General Secretary Mark Camilleri Gambin expressed his admiration for the students running the various stands and initiatives.
“It was a great experience speaking directly to each organisation,” Camilleri Gambin said. “These students are incredibly committed and are working hard in their respective areas to represent their peers. Their dedication to bettering the university experience is exactly the kind of active citizenship we need. Engaging with such driven young people gives us great hope for the future of Malta, as they are the ones who will ultimately champion the transparency and good governance we are fighting for.”
Alongside Camilleri Gambin, the Momentum delegation consisted of Momentum Leader Arnold Cassola, Committee Member Matthew Agius, and party volunteer Kyle Pullicino. The team took the opportunity to discuss various issues with the students, listening to their ideas and learning more about the specific causes they represent.
