A free, democratic vote is not “voter experimentation”

Opposition leader Bernard Grech has continued with his routine exercise in scaremongering by insisting that the support garnered by third voices is “risky experimentation”.

Momentum General Secretary, Mark Camilleri Gambin, stated : “Bernard Grech believes that the problem PN is facing is called “voter experimentation”. Bernard Grech needs to face reality – the real issue is his struggle to win over the approximately 100,000 people disillusioned with the two major parties. This is why Momentum exists; because we are not compromised by big business interests and we are the best way for people’s interests to be truly represented. The type of compromise we are talking about has been made evident on so many occasions: the DB ITS issue, the Manoel Island giveaway and the Fort Chambray saga, among many others”.

Momentum Chairperson Arnold Cassola stated, “Does Bernard Grech not realize that disenchanted voters are turning to Momentum rather than to the traditional parties? If the 8% who have chosen alternative options had not done so, PN might have gained only a fraction, perhaps some 3%, while PL could have secured the remaining 5%.

Momentum, not PN, is best positioned to connect with and inspire these disillusioned voters”
