Momentum expresses concern and solidarity following St Julian’s shooting

Momentum expresses its concern following today’s shooting in St Julian’s, during which police officers were injured while carrying out their duty.

Our thoughts are first and foremost with the injured officers, their families, loved ones, and colleagues. We sincerely hope that both officers make a full and swift recovery, particularly the officer who remains in critical condition.

We also extend our thoughts to all those who witnessed this traumatic incident, including nearby residents, workers, and members of the emergency services who responded with courage and professionalism under extremely difficult circumstances.

Today is a reminder of the risks that police officers and other emergency responders sometimes face while protecting the public. Their commitment to serving the community deserves our respect and gratitude.

At this difficult time, Momentum joins the nation in wishing the injured officers strength and a speedy recovery, and expresses its solidarity with the Malta Police Force and all those affected by this shocking incident.
