Momentum endorses protest picnic at Ta’ Qali, organised by NGO “Vuci Kollettiva”

Momentum endorses the protest picnic planned for next Saturday at 12pm at the Ta’ Qali Family Park organised by NGO “Vuci Kollettiva”.
Momentum committee member Natasha Azzopardi said, “It is shameful that a vast stretch of land where vegetation was growing naturally has been covered in gravel, following instructions from the Ministry of Works Ta’ Qali National Park Unit. This issue had been brought up in various facebook posts by Arnold’s Citizen Watch, starting last June. In a 23 August post, Cassola had asked if it was true that the expensive gravel to cover the open space had been imported from Greece.
As “Vuci Kollettiva” have stressed, it is sheer folly to destroy an extensive green space in what is supposed to be the “green heart” of Malta, a country that is so lacking in greenery”, concluded Natasha Azzopardi.
There is hope, you can help!
