I am Carmel Asciak. I was born in Valletta in 1951 and I now live in Mellieħa.

I had a 40-year career with Bank of Valletta, where I worked up through the ranks, finally reaching an executive position. During my early years with BOV, I studied with the London Institute of Bankers, achieving associateship. I currently work part time in the transport sector.

From my early years, my maternal grandfather instilled in me a love for the working class, which makes my political convictions inclined to the left of centre.

I hold dear Christian values. I also hold dear Malta’s identity and its cultural heritage. I joined this team to contribute towards a Malta where social justice and good governance reign.

As treasurer of Momentum, my primary role is to take care of the party’s finances and to report to the Electoral Commission, as required by law.
